Together, they’ll “rock the boat” for five incredible nights, with live concerts anchoring a cruise that brings the cultural phenomenon of the 1970s from the dance floor to the high seas on a luxury ship that will wind its way through the Gulf of Mexico from February 14-19, 2019.
Disco was a social and cultural revolution, and Nicky Siano was there from the beginning as it all bubbled up from the New York underground in the early 1970s. In bringing his world-renown multi-media event “Hallelujah Disco” to the Ultimate Disco Cruise, Nicky tells the story of the NYC dance music scene from the Stonewall riots to Studio 54, where he was one of the primary DJs who provided the soundtrack to a litany of incendiary experiences, night after night. “Hallelujah Disco” features a six-person gospel choir singing danceable gospel songs, interwoven with the story as told through pictures, video and interviews with such notables as “Godfather of House” Frankie Knuckles and David Mancuso, the DJ legend behind The Loft. “Hallelujah Disco” is a celebration of New York City, The Seventies, and Gay Rights, written and directed by Nicky Siano, and produced by Siano with Rebecca Lynn. Learn the history of NYC Nightlife, while the Disco Gospel Classics are performed live. In addition to “Hallelujah Disco”, Siano will also be on hand to host special “Studio 54” inspired dance nights on the Ultimate Disco Cruise, too!
